For anyone even vaguely interested in the music industry, this testimony from Michael Jackson’s 2005 trial is a must-read. The witness is David LeGrand, a corporate lawyer hired by Michael Jackson in 2003 to replace and investigate some of his former associates (including lawyer John Branca, who now serves as trustee of Jackson’s estate). LeGrand fired Branca on Jackson’s behalf. A letter from Jackson ordered Branca to turn over all paperwork to his new legal representatives.....
